Accu-Speed is a mobile speedometer calibration company. We test a speedometer's accuracy by comparing its indicated reading to that of a calibrated radar unit. We provide our customers with a notarized certificate which they can take with them to court.
We have six locations where we can meet you to conduct the test. The test takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Look under our "locations" page for directions.
We also understand that in some cases you may not have the time to meet with us at the predetermined locations. For an extra fee, which will be determined at the time the appointment is made, we will come to your place of business, pick up your vehicle, have it calibrated, and return it back to you with a notarized certificate.
If you have received a speeding ticket, you can use this certificate as evidence when you appear in court. The judge "may" reduce the ticket to "faulty equimpment", which is a non-moving violation. With a non-moving violation there are no points placed on your DMV driving record, and your insurance company will not raise your rates or premiums.
It is to your benefit to try and have your speeding ticket reduced. Thank you for your interest in Accu-Speed.
